Configure Approval Reminders

You can configure approval reminders within the BPM worklist, ensuring timely notifications are dispatched to the designated approver.

Gain control over the configuration of approval reminders within the BPM worklist, providing you with the flexibility to fine-tune your approval processes. This feature ensures that notifications are not only prompt but also directed to the designated approver, optimizing the efficiency of the approval process.

Below is a detailed, step-by-step guide outlining how to accomplish this:

1. Navigate to Setup and Maintenance and search for the task Manage Task Configurations for Human Capital Management:

2. Search for the required task to be configured, for example I will use PersonalInformation task:

3. Click on edit icon (pencil) and then traverse to “Notifications”:

4. Select “Enable Reminder”:
   • Repeat – Choose the frequency for sending reminders. Opt for “Every” to ensure the reminder continues to be sent until approval is obtained.
   • Initiating Action - Select an option for when to send a reminder to the assignee:
     • After Assignment: After the task is assigned to the assignee.
     • Before Expiration: Before the task expires on the assignee.
   • Frequency - Specify the frequency for sending the initial reminder and the intervals between subsequent reminders.

5. Once the changes are done, click “Commit”:

Based on the setup above, a reminder is sent every day after the user is assigned the task until the task is approved.

Point to be Noted:

By default, the term Reminder is added at the start of the title for reminder notifications. If you prefer to exclude this word, set the “Add Reminder Prefix to Notification Title (BPM_REMINDER_PREFIX)” profile option to False.
