Types of Interview Schedules in Oracle Recruiting (OR)
Oracle Recruiting cloud provides flexibility to schedule interviews on behalf of candidates or you can invite candidates to schedule their own interviews at the date and time that work best for them. Providing candidates a selection of available slots provides them with a sense of ownership as they have the autonomy to choose from the provided options for scheduling interviews.
There are two types of interview schedules available to use in OR. The type of interview schedule determines when and who can create interviews for candidates:
- Hiring team managed
- Candidate managed
Hiring Team Managed:
This is a traditional method of interview scheduling where the candidate’s interview is scheduled at a particular date and time after the discussion.
In this type of interview – you first select the template, select the date and time, format of the interview and location details and interviewer.
Candidate managed:
Members of the Hiring Team create interview slots and candidates can be sent invitations to schedule their interviews by selecting from the available time slots. By presenting candidates with a range of available slots, you empower them to take ownership of the interview process.
This approach allows candidates to actively participate in selecting a time that aligns with their schedule, fostering a more engaging and candidate-centric experience. It not only streamlines the scheduling process but also demonstrates a commitment to accommodating the individual needs and preferences of each candidate, enhancing their overall engagement and satisfaction with the recruitment process.
A sample of how the recruiter creates the slots is below:
