Set Default Formats

Did you know you can use profile options to define default formats for values like date, time, number, currency, and time zone for all users?

You can configure the profile option values at the site level using the Manage Administrator Profile Values page. The formats set here are displayed for all users in the regional settings fields on the General Preferences: Regional page. Users can customize their own value formats.

Navigate to Setup and Maintenance and search for tasks Manage Administrator Profile Values:

Set the value formats for the profile options, as required.

1. Default Date Format (FND_DATE_FORMAT)

2. Default Time Format (FND_TIME_FORMAT)

3. Default Number Format (FND_NUMBER_FORMAT)

4. Default Currency (FND_CURRENCY)

5. Default User Time Zone (FND_TIMEZONE)

For all the above profile values set the default at site level. Click Save and Close.

Note: Verify if a value is already set for the Site profile level in the profile option. If a value is present, edit it. If not, create a new row and select a value for the Site profile level to ensure the settings apply to all users.
